Fire alarm triggers shelter in place at Grand Haven High School
GRAND HAVEN, MI – Grand Haven High School went into shelter in place mode late Tuesday morning after an unexpected fire alarm went off.
Fire alarms went off in the school around 11:18 a.m. and were not part of a scheduled drill, administrators said in an email sent to district parents on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
Grand Haven firefighters arrived at the school, reset the alarm system and did a complete walk-through of the building.
Firefighters determined there was no immediate concern. The shelter in place was lifted at 11:33 a.m.
