The men of the Cabot Fire Department – joined now by the department’s first female firefighter – are back and hotter than ever in their third annual calendar with portions of the sale benefitting Cabot Animal Support Services.

The 2024 calendar, which is organized and released through the Cabot Firefighter Calendar Association, features 12 firefighters and their furry friends.

Association President Ethan Evans said Monday that all profits of their inaugural calendar went to much-needed equipment for the department with leftover funds going toward future calendars.

Funds from 2023’s calendar was able to raise $5,000 for Camp Sunshine, Evans said. Camp Sunshine is four-day camp for burn survivors provided in support by the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Burn Unit and Arkansas Professional Fire Fighters Association at Camp Aldersgate in Little Rock.

It’s a fun way to engage with the local community,” Evans said. “The more support, the more it allows us to give back.”

New to next year’s calendar is Kayla Pixley, the first female firefighter to make it through the “rookie” year and join the ranks of the Cabot Fire Department.
